In 2020, The New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival will take place in St. Petersburg from 14th to 19th of July. It will include two international competitions: one for feature-length fiction films and another for short fiction, documentary and experimental films.about the festival
First and second films with a duration of 45 minutes or more, produced in 2019 or 2020, were accepted for the international competition of feature films.
Documentary, experimental and fiction films up to 45 minutes long, made during 2019 and 2020 by directors who have not made feature debut, were eligible for the international competition of short films.
All films with dialogue require English subtitles if the original language is not English.
By submitting an application, the participant confirms that he or she is the legal owner of the application materials and guarantees that copyright, literary, music, artistic, intellectual property or personal rights were not violated.
By sending an application, the participant consents to the use of materials (excerpts up to 3 minutes, scenes, posters, trailers) for promotional purposes of the festival both in print and online.
If your film is selected, you will need to provide a copy in DCP or HD format (Apple ProRes). Detailed technical requirements will be individually sent to all confirmed participants.
When submitting an application, you must pay a fee of UDS3 for short films and USD5 for feature films. Payment is made via FilmFreeway when submitting the application.
