The international jury selected the winners of the II New Holland Island International Debut Film Festival.
The Main Competition Grand Prix (€15 000) was awarded to The Girl and the Spider by Ramon Zürcher and Silvan Zürcher (Switzerland).
Residue by Merawi Gerima (USA) received the Jury Award (€10 000)
This year's Main Competition jury included film critics Barbara Wurm (Germany), Zara Abdullaeva (Russia) and director Adilkhan Yerzhanov (Kazakhstan).
In Short Film Competition, three equal prizes of €5 000 were awarded to directors of Seeking Aline (Rokhaya Marieme Balde, Switzerland, Senegal), Bicentenario (Pablo Alvarez-Mesa, Colombia) и Our Feelings of Flight (Danila Lipatov, Russia, Germany). Lemongrass Girl (Pom Bunsermvicha, Thailand) received Special Mention from the jury.
The Short Film Competition was judged by film critic Vasily Koretsky (Russia), directors Maya Schweizer (Germany) and Masha Godovannaya (Russia).
By the decision of the national jury, Detours by Ekaterina Selenkina was recognized as the best Russian film of the festival. Bobok by Alexandra Karelina and Ivan Yakushev received Special Mention from the jury.
The Russian films in the competition and on the Made in Russia were judged by the national jury: film researcher Dmitry Frolov, director Maria Ignatenko and producer Sergey Kornikhin.
