Echo of II NHIDFF in Moscow 18+

Almost Spring

Nastia Korkia
Several working days in the life of literature teacher Tamara, where nothing that takes place could ever come as a surprise. Director Nastia Korkia adopts a melancholy view of high-rise Russia, presenting Tamara’s world as a land of restricted opportunities and moral compromise, both as inevitable as the changing of the seasons.

Nastia Korkia graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University and received a master’s in directing under Bakur Bakuradze at the Moscow School of New Cinema. She has participated in the programmes of leading documentary film festivals including DOK Leipzig, Sheffield DocFest, Artdocfest and Message to Man with her shorts Dramatic and Mild (2018) and Estoy feliz (2019). Her documentary feature GES-2 was shown at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival.
